Requirements:
-
Distortion Analyzer + Cables
-
Power Amplifier
-
Computer
-
Software: Transfer Function (TRF)
-
Suspension Part Software
-
SPM Bench
-
Clamping Set (Cones, Cups, Rings)
-

|
Inner clamping of
the suspension

play video (4,3 MB)
|
- Clamp the inner rim by using the slide, cone, cup and two nuts
|
|
Weight of moving
part,
selection of clamping parts

play video (5,8 MB)
|
- Weigh the surround with the inner clamping
- Measure outer diameter Do of the suspension part (without
rim)
- Look in the look-up table to find the lower clamping ring
having an inner diameter which is just larger than Do.
|
|
|
Clamping rings

play video (4,2 MB)
|
- Select the lower clamping ring
- Take the one-step larger ring for
upper clamping ring
|
|
|
Outer clamping of
suspension

play video (13,6 MB)
|
- Bring the clamping platform into horizontal position for easy
handling
- Insert the lower ring into the clamping platform
- Put the slide with the clamped suspension on the guiding rod.
- Fix the upper ring to clamp the outer rim
|
|
|
Adjustment of laser displacement
sensor

play video (4,1 MB)
|
- Adjust the laser displacement sensor

Bring the clamping platform into vertical position, close the bench and
start measurement:
- The suspension part is excited pneumatically to vibrate at the
resonance frequency.
- A frequency sweep (3 Hz to 30 Hz) is used from TRF Module.
- Stiffness is calculated from the measured displacement
(one-signal-method) with SPM Software.
- Results show the nonlinear stiffness and reciprocal compliance versus
displacement
